Amanda + Mike | eSession
The original objective of Amanda + Mike's photo shoot was to get some great photos. Once we started the shoot, the new objective was either to find protection from the wind and try not to get too cold or to go seek warmth in the sun. Luckily my original plan for the day wasn't completely comprised and we were able to get great photos and not get too cold.
We were planning on going to this alley in Westport. It turned out to be a great spot because there was a little ledge that blocked the wind for Amanda + Mike.
NOBODY PUTS BABY IN THE CORNER...except for PBP. The corner was a great wind-free spot. Mike was full of awesome faces the whole day.
Amanda is double dipping here. She getting warm from the sun and from Mike.
As you might have seen in the sneak peak post, this is Buckley. I had a hard time not laughing as this is how a lot of the walk went. He's a small dog, but he definitely wanted to lead the way and move faster than Amanda + Mike.
So Buckley...what does the PBP logo smell like? ;)
The color on the trees during our walk were beautiful!
Mike is the type of guy who will give you the shirt off his back. No, really, he will. I first met Mike years ago when we were at a Westport bar with some friends. I was wearing a hooded sweatshirt because we were just planning on being at the bar. Plans changed, and the majority wanted to go to a dance club. When I got to the front of the club line, I was denied entry because of my hoodie. Half of our group was already inside, and there was no persuading the doorman. As Holleigh and I turned around to leave in defeat, Mike stopped me and gave me his button up shirt so I could get in, while he sported his white under shirt. To this day, Holleigh and I appreciate and love him for his generosity.
I look forward to shooting Amanda + Mike's wedding because they are genuinely great people!

Mack Town | Play Date Session
Katie Town is a talented
jewelry artist that I know through my sister, who is also a talented
jewelry artist. Katie moved from Kansas City to Atlanta and while there, baby Mack was born. Katie came to town to have a trunk show at
Stuff and since Mack has not had any professional photos done yet. Katie figured now was better than ever.

Kari + Lake | Wedding
Holleigh and I have known Lake for quite some time. We are lucky to be friends with him because, while Lake's always the life of the party, he is also one of the most kind and giving people we know. He is always laughing and in a good mood. And his joy is infectious. He can also be very playful and joking; so when we met Kari, we knew she had to be just as wonderful.
Kari matches Lake's awesomeness and ups the ante. After photographing their engagement session and the wedding, we understood why Lake had to marry her.
Kari spent the early part of the her wedding day relaxing and getting ready at St. Paul's United Methodist Church.
The beautiful programs were put together by Kari's friend of Contempory Concepts.
Kari took a moment while she awaited her groom's entrance.
Here is Lake as he caught his first glimpse of Kari in her beautiful wedding dress.
Kari doesn't know how to leave work at work. Well, she was actually pulling up a list of names that she didn't have time to print.
Here Lake is checking out his beautiful bride!
Isn't she stunning?
The architecture was amazing, so I had to drag everyone outside for a photo behind the church.
In the limo, Kari + Lake realized they forgot the champagne.
A quick stop at a liquor store solved that problem.
Kari + Lake arrived at the Camelot Ballroom, where Kari changed into a sari for their Sri Lankan wedding ceremony.
This is Lake's best man, Alan. He looks very jovial at the moment.
About five minutes before Alan's toast, he had a little panic attack. Luckily Kari's sister Kassie, the matron of honor, was able to talk him down and get him back inside.
After the speech, Alan was back to his normal self.
Some of the guests built a beautiful glass structure in honor of Kari + Lake....
.... and some of them danced until they couldn't stand any more. :)
I had a great time with Kari + Lake and all of their friends & family. Their wedding day was beautifully planned and I am very happy as the two are a perfect match for each other.
