Jessica | Newborn
Sweet Jessica was born at the end of July in Tucson to Rachel + Clint. This was Jessica's first photo shoot, and it definitely won't be the last. When I see these pictures of her, I light up inside, so I affectionately nicknamed her, "Jessica Sunshine". Even though she did a lot of crying on this day, I know she was really yelling at me to take more photos ;)
And the crying begins ;)
Daddy knows how to soothe her.
I love this look.
Not only do I love J.Sunshine, but I also love Rachel's Ikea dresser.
She looks so intrigued.
I love how her tiny fingers hold on tight.
Congratulations Clint + Rachel! Thank you so much for welcoming us into your home and making us feel so comfortable!

Janice + Randy | Wedding
You might remember Janice + Randy from their awesome eSession post a while back. It was a nice change of pace to have a split day and for Janice + Randy to allow me to shoot between the ceremony and reception. They also let me execute my artistic vision and take some shots I have always wanted to do. But before any of that could happen, we had to have a ceremony ;)
The flower girl and ring bearer were just adorable.
Janice's bouquet had ostrich flowers...very pretty and unique.
Janice see's me sneaking into the pews to get a shot.
Ahhhhh yes...an underprepared groomsman ;)
The Quaff on Broadway in downtown KC was very accommodating in letting us come inside to take photos and escape from the cold weather.
I wanted to revisit the peeking photos from their eSession.
Janice took a second to wave at all the people that were yelling to congratulate her.
Spiking the McD's OJ....I'm lovin' it!
We had extra time until before going to the reception site, so I took the bride and groom from the rest of the wedding party and we stopped by the Westport Laundromat. When I talked to an employee at the laundromat to get permission to shoot inside, they stated, and I quote, "Won't that look tacky?" Maybe not tacky, but I certainly was looking for the contrast between the laundromat and the beautiful bride and groom.
Who doesn't love to get in a game of Ms. Pac Man on your wedding day ;)
The reception was at the Boulevard Brewery on Southwest Boulevard. It is a really nice venue with spectacular views of downtown Kansas City.
I love this photo because the guy in the middle has the most intense look on his face. He REALLY looks determined to catch the garter belt.
Doctor DJ provided the music and kept the dance floor packed.
Congratulations Janice + Randy!
We hope you had a fabulous time in Mexico!
