Michelle + Jimmy | Wedding
You might remember Michelle + Jimmy from their engagement session last year. After an engagement session and getting to spend some time with the couple, I am always anxious to meet their family and friends. I was definitely not preparred for the awesomeness that their friends and family contained. I laughed from the grooms men dancing, almost cried during Mike's best man toast, and smiled from the tag team toast by the maids of honors.
Michelle was simply stun to the ning!
I've really grown to love the first look that the groom gets of his bride when it is before the ceremony...
...and this is why.
Michelle and I were joking at how Jimmy looks like a big teddy bear who you could just hug the heck out of. I wanted to get a photo of Jimmy looking like someone you don't want to owe money to...mission accomplished, and here is that $20 I borrowed ;)
The flower girl and ring bearer instantly clicked and became inseparable.
I love this sequence of photos. I attacked the top...
Holleigh attacked the bottom...
And the wedding part proceeded to attack the dance floor.

Jill + Johnny | Engagement
The previous two days before my shoot with Jill + Johnny, the weather was MAR-VAH-LOUS...so I figured it would be clear skies and sun. As I got in my car to meet them, I saw the darkest clouds and mumbled 'oh crap' to myself. Then I thought, we WILL make this work...and we did l)
We took some photos for a good 15 minutes before it started to rain. Luckily I had scoped some covered areas downtown for a wedding as a backup plan so we went and utilized them.
This photo is definitely not representative of Jill + Johnny because they are always with smiles. But gosh darnit, I wanted some moody and mysterious photos and they pulled them off like some professional models.
Jill asked me if shooting a couple with such a height difference would be a problem...what height difference? ;)
Super mysterious...super suave...super sexy!
AND back to the normal, super happy Jill + Johnny...I can't wait until later in the year for the wedding!

Becca + Elias | Engagement Session
I thought I would never get to shoot Becca + Elias' engagement session. We were limited to only shooting on a Sunday. I swear for 1 month straight it rained or looked like it would rain on every Sunday so we kept re-scheduling. But as you can see, the shoot finally happened.
I try to get the couple to do something high energy to loosen them up. Not really going for a photo that you would put on your wall, but these photos never cease to put a smile on your face ;)
I love these next two photos...the eyes say so much!
I will see Becca + Elias in less than a month for their wedding and I am sure it will be a great day!

The Oglesbys | Portrait
The more I am around Cori + Nathan, the more I love em. The more I am around Caleb and Ava, the cuter they get.
I love this shot...but my head/stomach did not love it once I stopped spinning ;)
Today ChapStick, tomorrow lip gloss...they grow up so fast ;)
Not sure which is more awesome...the ChapStick photo or this way too big bag photo ;)
We hit a fountain and the kids had a blast!

Sandra + David | Wedding
Sandra + David's wedding was at the newly renovated Villa in Westport (beautiful venue and an awesome staff).
I don't remember why Sandra was doing the Popeye face, but it cracks me up every time I see it ;)
David and pretty much all of his friends are into music. BJ, one of his groomsmen, played the trumpet during the ceremony. If I wasn't shooting photos, I would've joined him...I play a mean oboe ;)
The flower girl was a straight ham for the camera! ;)
Ahhhh...the good ol' Michelle + Obama fist bump...
David = crazy, futuristic, outerspace groom
During the first dance, Sandra did a switch-a-roo and made David dip.
Who doesn't love it when the couple feeds each other the cake...
Jennifer, the maid of honor, and Cedrick, the best man...that's who doesn't like it ;)
Since David's crew lives out of town, I got some shots of them looking tough. Ten seconds later, they beat me up and took my camera ;)
Luckily I harnessed my photog super powers and got the camera back to get a shot with the wonderful bride and groom. I had a blast at this wedding and I hope Sandra + David can get some time to relax once the school semester is over.
