Today was the first time I saw Noël since she was 2 days old. Now she is 4 months old, and still flippin' adorable. Since she was born in December, this is her first time to experience the warmish weather.
I love seeing Noel's tiny hands wrap around her daddy's long fingers.
Garrick spending some time with his little sister.
If her current length is any indication of her future height, Noel will be tall like her father, Alex. She won't remember being this small, but she'll have the proof that once she was "knee-high to a grasshopper" and ....
.... she'll see how much she was loved from the very beginning.
I can't wait to shoot Noel again when we can go outside and enjoy the elements.
While I was in Las Vegas for the WPPI convention, I had the opportunity to shoot some friends who recently moved out there from KC. I first shot Dorian + Akilah a little over a year ago but this time I got to shoot the whole family.
I had a great time on the shoot and look forward to seeing them next year ;)
I have been going back to old sessions and making stop motion videos from the photos. I take every last photo from the session and throw it in my editing program. It is amazing when I am not shooting specifically for a stop motion video how well they can come out. That is probably because I have a heavy shutter finger and take WAY too many photos on a shoot ;)
Anyway...this is a throw back from April of 2009 of The Oglesby family shoot. It was a blast....[of water ;]
I took these photos of Noël when she was about 48 hours old. She kept a watchful eye over me and when she was not hamming it up for the camera, she was staring at her mother.
Genevieve & Viviana are two adorable twins. We did the shoot on the land of their Grandparent's house. It is a beautiful property with nice rows of trees that they planted many decades ago, flowers, chickens, and old pick up trucks ;)
Refina (their mom) ran towards me so we could have the twins run behind her...but Viviana did not follow. Even though she is crying, she is still super cute.
Genevieve showed me how much of a tough girl she was by hanging from the swing set.
The mighty double clutch nose move...only to be attempted by professionals ;)
I gave Viviana my sun glasses and she looked like a rock star!
It will be interesting to see how Genevieve & Viviana grow up. You can already see the differences between the twins in their actions and personalities. Hopefully I can see them again sometime in the near future!
Here are some of my favorite images of the Hamm family. I have been shooting Owen for a while and it is so wonderful to see him grow up. Here is a small collage of Owen from the past two sessions and this one...so handsome.
Going into a baby portrait shoot, you have no idea how it will go. You don't know if the baby will show you it's beautiful smile that day or if they will just cry the whole time. If I had my preference, I would want the baby to go through all the emotions...smile, cry, threaten to punch me, stick it's tongue out at me, etc.
Here are some of my favorite photos from my session with the Quigleys. They are a great family and it sounds like their kids are going to do great things in the coming years.
