Jennifer + Matt | eSession

On our way out to meet with Jennifer + Matt for their engagement session shoot, I forgot how much Holleigh and I loved them. Not only did we have a fun time doing some great portraits for them, but as we were leaving the shoot we were really excited to shoot their wedding next month, in exactly one month to be exact. Here, Jennifer + Matt remind everyone what day to mark on their calendars:

It would an understatement to say how much I heart this photo. I really love that people allow me to capture them no matter how uncomfortable they might feel in front of the camera. Matt (as well as most people I photograph) was nervous about being in front of the lens; but as you can see, these two made my job a lot easier by looking so suave ;) Enjoy the rest of the photos of Jennifer + Matt!

I had a great time shooting these two and I can't wait until their big day to see them again!

Beth + Ryan | Wedding

From the moment I met with Beth, her mom, sister, and friend at Salon Beyond I knew that the day was going to be laid back, fun, and a little crazy. It was a pleasure shooting Beth & Ryan's wonderful day and I know they will have a wonderful life!

Ryan is trying to get a sneak peak at his beautiful bride...can you blame him?

When he popped through the door, Beth's eyes lit up with joy!

We hopped and skipped over to the Nelson-Atkins Museum to take some relaxed portraits.

They did a little practicing for their first dance.

It is always a pleasure to take photos of a couple who make each other laugh and can have a good time while standing around in front of a museum.

This photo happened while I was taking pictures of Beth by herself. Ryan was loving it since he could take a second to relax. I spun around and with no warning, I paparazzi'd him. It turned out to be a great photo. During the reception, Ryan told me he was not used to being the center of attention and people taking so many photos of him. It was obvious to me as earlier in the day I was taking a photo slightly behind and to the side of him to capture him looking at his bride, and he side stepped out of the way when he saw me out of the corner of his eye. And then I side stepped with him as I REALLY wanted to get the photo ;)

I have NO IDEA who these people are with Beth and Ryan, but they REALLY wanted a photo with the bride and groom. I told them that they might want to go to a dermatologist and get their green skin checked out...they said nothing and just stared at me...very odd people ;)

Beth and Ryan rejoiced when the relaxed portraits were finished! I was amazed how high they were able to get off the ground.

Whenever I would go to take this cute girls picture, she would stop smiling. I then discovered she was very ticklish and as you can see, it worked like a charm.

Cossentino's Market in Brookside handled the catering. They did a wonderful job of setting up the tables and they excelled at making my stomach grumble as I watched people fill up their plates with wonderful food ;)

When the party jumped off...it jumped off. From young to old, these people were some dancing fools.

*capped at $75...that is 47 Euros or 3,183 Rupees or 7,712 Yen

Shanda + Dan | Wedding

You would think that a couple who has an 11 year-old daughter, 4 year-old daughter, and has seen more ups and downs than the Zambezi Zinger, Orient Express, Timber Wolf, [insert current roller coaster] would be able to hold it together for their ceremony. But nooooooooooooo, my new sister-in-law did the opposite ;) But seriously, no one can doubt the love that these two have for each other after their ceremony. It was very beautiful and reflective of the bride and groom.

My sister is out of frame telling Shanda that it is time to
put down her drink and
walk down the aisle. Shanda, as you can see, is using what we call a "delay tactic". She was nervous as a bug, crying and quite frankly making it hard for me to shoot photos without getting a little choked up.

Here she is again trying her best to prevent me from taking photos ;)

I don't think my brother, Dan, liked me taking his photo so much or he wanted me to see his fresh digs.

Here is my other brother, Andy, as the designated taxi driver.

Isabella is attacking her mother with kisses.

Shanda gently shows me her ring...

Dan shows me his ring and his left jab at the same time.

Dan and Shanda's youngest daughter, Sidney, was demonstrating how to be a Mexican jumping bean. Someone must have slipped her a Red Bull because she was hyper!

And now we see Shanda being attacked by her sister.

The crew...friends since high school.

So frickin adorable!

My sister appears to be laughing at Kim...not with her ;)

Sidney faded into the night and Shanda made sure she went to sleep without any problems.

As the night wore on, some people got tired...

And some people held on, not wanting to go.

Congratulations to Dan and Shanda, may you have a hundred years of happiness!
