Erica + Rob | Wedding

We had the wonderful opportunity to shoot Erica & Rob's Wedding at New Beginning Church in Lee's Summit. How delicious - A December wedding in the mid-west and the temperature outside was in the 60's! Here are a few of my favorite moments and shots of the day.

Hobbies, the couple's dog, has a make-up artist on staff for all public appearances.

The flower girls, Kyndal & Lydia, were so adorable in their white and silver custom dresses.

Rob's last minute run-down.

Here's a sneak-peak of the bride.

Clean & Pristine - Hobbies eagerly awaits for the ceremony to begin!

Here she comes!

This image brings a smile to my face - Rob & Erica holding hands in front of the Christmas tree.

Every detail was well thought out - including Erica's snowflake pendant.

"I love you!"

No peaking Rob! :O)

"Can you believe it? We finally did it!"

A quiet moment alone to reflect.

Thank you all for the hospitality and letting us be a part of your day!
Erica, Rob, the McCabe and the Geotz families were so gracious and kind. Marci Anzalone & Donna Macke were wonderful interpreters who really helped us out especially during the posed shots. Amazingly, they just knew when to appear! :O) We couldn't have done it without them!

THE HAMMS

Jamie, Kim, & Owen

Sunday afternoon, we had a wonderful time at the Hamm's home photographing this family of three.

Owen's personality has really blossomed since the last time we saw him this summer. It's so amazing to see when such a tiny person already have personality traits coming through. Owen has so much personality at the ripe age of 10 months old. There is nothing shy about this little man who seems to really enjoy rap music.

These MU superfans, Jamie and Kim are real excited about the big MU/KU game at Arrowhead this weekend. Kim jokes around that she probably won't completely disown Owen if he ever decides to go to KU. :O)

He really enjoyed the different holiday ornaments, but Owen was happiest when in his mommy & daddy's arms and interacting with people.

Peek-a-boo!

Wearing socks really isn't his thing.

I find it so cute that the only thing that would relieve Owen's collick earlier this year, was "Walk it Out" and "This is Why I'm Hot". So full of life, Owen bee-lines for the camera lens.

A family portrait in front of the result of one of Jamie's hobby - chopping firewood.

Daddy's other hobby is playing pool.
Owen really loved pounding the balls into the table.
He had to be pulled away from the table, as the clacking echoed through the house.

Denessa + Steve | Wedding

INTRODUCING STEVE & DENESSA SHAW -

We were so glad that Denessa allowed us to be a part of their day this past Saturday. Everything was perfect.... Even the turning leaves of the surrounding woods coordinated with the the smallest details.

I met Denessa during our freshman year at Missouri State University in Springfield, MO. She and her roommate Tiffany, had their dorm room door open. As I was passing by, something drew me in to stop in and introduce myself. Denessa was so nice and friendly as she showed me her extensive collections of Chinese decorations. Instantly, Denessa and I clicked and it was like I had always known her. She is quite the mover. Denessa has lived in Chilicothe, Springfield, Phoenix, and Los Angeles. I am so happy that she has found "home" with Steve.

Uncle Dwight walks Denessa down the aisle towards her Groom - Steve.

Chris, one of Denessa's childhood friends officiates Steve and Denessa's wedding.

Bridesmaids - Kim and Ashlee

Enveloped by foliage and friends, Denessa and Steve exchange their vows.

Denessa as she is showered with rose petals.

One of my favorite shots of the day, as Denessa goes to join the party for cocktail hour.

These wonderful booklets detail how Steve (Los Angeles) and Denessa (Phoenix) met at a Tori Amos concerts in Albuquerque and then again in San Francisco.

Denessa pauses to say hello to some guests

Little Emily snuggles into the comfort of her daddy's legs.

Steve and Denssa have such a great time watching as their wedding party is introduced!

The wedding party wait in line as they wait to be introduced at the dinner reception.

One of Steve's friends who traveled from California to be here with him on his special day.

What a gorgeous table setting was designed by Denessa herself!

Their wedding cake was made by a woman from Lawrence and the cake was decorated by a woman who works at the Inn.

The tent was decorated with branches that had tealight candles and butterflies hanging in them. Every detail was thought of and just perfect!

Denessa and Steve cut the cake right before he shoves it into her face! :O)

Denessa, a fellow-photographer from Los Angeles, has a really great eye.
She really wanted a night shot of the house and it turned out beautifully.

Congratulations Steve and Denessa!
We couldn't be happier for you two.

We wish that your honeymoon and your life will be as beautiful as your wedding day.
.... and if your wedding was any indication, we know it will be!
